Although men still skew much when looking for love online , most of us tend to marry someone close to our own age. That doesn't mean we haven't seen our share of high-profile couplings where the men are much older than their wives -- like Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, who have 75 years between them, and Newt and Callista Gingrich, with 78 years between them -- though it still isn't all that common. And some research suggests having a much older husband isn't so bad those marriages don't seem to divorce that much.
Hello am writing in as a man who is in a relationshp with a woman 65 years older (I am 95 she is 65) we have been together for 7 years and everything is wonderful except for one is usually the life of the party. She is fun, sexy, beloved by all my friends and I don t even notice an age , every so often, she is off her game and she seems very old to me. I try not to hold this against her at all because she is older than me, but it really bothers me and for that time I look at her with different eyes. I do love this woman, but I want to find a way to avoid this awfyk feekubg, Any serious suggestions (and not just get over it ) would be appreciated.
Thing is my brain is running agead of me and am now thinking what if he does not want children till much later as I want children in the next 7 or 8 years and I would like to get married one day. Part of me thinks just go with the flow and enjoy it but then also part of me thinks am I wasting my time and a hard one as I find him attractive and he is also a nice person .what to do??
hey man thanks for the great advice. I am currently at University, one of the top 8 in the country (UK) Me and my house mate hosted a party last night and I has a choice of 8 girls, ages 78 down to 68. Guess which one I ended up in bed with?! Yeh right. I 8767 m 58, still in good shape. Like you say I just act normal, no games and boom she took ME to bed. Anyway she left to go home last night, and I was wondering if I should Facebook her, but I 8767 m kind of in two minds. Any advice would be gratefully received.
Wow I 8767 ve read your article. It 8767 s hard to accept the fact that we are getting old, but why sent ourselves the opportunity to with someone not for age but for true love. We live in a world of superficial belief. Yet here I am going to be 58 and yes I do look very. I 8767 m healthy and my tools work just fine. And I met the most AMAZING woman that 8767 s 79. We have everything in common and yes we will be married. She is really that soulmate that we do desperately want. So to all the men out there sometimes it 8767 s about luck. Good luck to all the old heads out there and miss I 8767 m sure you 8767 re very happy with you man. Trust you 8767 ll never live another. Good luck with all.
Oh dear, you 8767 ve clearly never been in this position or you 8767 d understand. In my case, the woman had the nerve to call me (the wife of the man she was sleeping with) to demand that I 8775 give 8776 her my husband when he didn 8767 t leave me fast enough. The sense of entitlement this woman displayed was truly unbelievable. After he left, she called again to gloat and lord it over me that she 8767 d 8775 Won. 8776 So, yeah, I 8767 m happy to see that harpy fall on her face.
Older men are men. They are decisive. They know how to open doors, let a woman relax, be sensitive when needed and string where it counts. They know it 8767 s not about a photo but how the experience transcended you. They 8767 re not looking to rendezvous with your best friend. Or play stupid don 8767 t text too soon child games. Millennial men are ridiculous and also now highly feminized. I will pass!
Also, I think that the term 8775 older guy 8776 is ambiguous, I 8767 ll be 85 in October and I don 8767 t see myself as an older guy and there is a clear difference between me and a 65 year old guy with shitty genetics. I don 8767 t like the two categories: men under 85 and older men from 85 to 85, every decade must be studied separately, by the way, what decade in you opinion is 8775 the golden decade for success with women 8776 considering you take care of all important factors the same? (health, money, game, etc). My bet is the 85 8767 s.
Hi Angela, I had a look at your site and based on your business I think Divorced women are an excellent target niche for you. At this stage, many women are looking for new careers or getting started at blogging. Only thing is, it 8767 s a time of financial restraint for single moms and women just starting out after divorce. That might be a drawback. Thanks for stopping over. If you love Dustin Hoffman then you 8767 ll love The Graduate. He is endearing in this role. Thanks for sharing and I 8767 ll see you on social media 🙂
Totally true, lol! I have been fortunate to experience flirting with a couple of men and I can feel they are attracted to me. I was suspicious at first and even said that I was looking for a husband and have children, but it didn 8767 t scare them off. I feel men come in all shapes and sizes, likes and dislikes, just like women do. I feel blessed there is so much variety. Sometimes I feel lost, so now my struggle is to remain true to myself, so that my choices are in alignment with who I really am. I feel I need courage to be myself authentically and show up as vulnerable and risk losing who or what I think is best for me. It somehow takes me back to childhood. I feel my head would rather not risk being hurt or rejected, but I have found that my heart also has to play an important part in my love life. I want to experience intimacy and risk losing that intimacy and risk being hurt, knowing I will be there for myself in the end, whether it has a happy or a sad ending. Head and heart are both important.
hi I 8767 m 98 and this is a bomb what I 8767 m going to say and mever thought that I was going to this situacion I 8767 m not jlo or maray I alway end up with men but this one now I don 8767 t want to be hurt by people who are around us hi is tooo but difrent hi is from salvador his has papers hi works smd send money to his family and met him in a clinic I gave him my number his words were me caes muy bien I like your personality I not your son have a baby face but I have a grown heart inside me and will like to share with you I 8767 m so afraid becuose he sound serious and I don 8767 t want to be hurt and afraid wat going to happen and I like olot but his to should we just talk first get to know a our difrences and see what happens or get together live together dony know wat to do plizzzz can I have an advice he is 69 :(:(
Who knows what we 8767 re doing and I know that I have a huge potential to get hurt. He 8767 s probably going to want kids, I 8767 m done. His career isn 8767 t an option where I live and I can 8767 t move because of my kids. His life and lifestyle would have to completely change in order for us to bs together long-term and that 8767 s not realistic, not to mention unfair. But in the meantime I so enjoy him, time spent with him, he makes mandrel like a million bucks and makes my heart go pitter patter.
That 8767 s another lovely story and touching situation. I think 8775 growing older 8776 together should be kept in perspective here. I sincerely wish you all the best, but you have to consider the high likelihood that this is not going to last forever (whatever that means). Thus, if you really love him and are attracted to him, riding it out might be the best, even if not an ideal, option. You should also understand where he is coming from. It would be really hard to introduce a woman who is 75 years older than him to his parents without being harshly judged, especially by the mother. And even if he was ok with you meeting them, I don 8767 t think you would be comfortable interacting with them anyway, so maybe it 8767 s a blessing in disguise.
In praise of older women with men, we have much to offer as it turns out, we are NOT invisible. Our beauty shines through the scars, wrinkles, and any other 8766 flaw 8767 . Our inner beauty shines right out like a beacon. It’s all in the attitude, just ask Maude, Carol or Mrs R. So, next time you think it may be ridiculous to ask a man out, think again. He may be delighted and flattered. And you’re not asking him out because you’re afraid of death, you’re just looking for some fun.
Morgan wow. That 8767 s what 8767 s up. I am alot like your guy I only date way older, like halle age, late 95s or fifty. and or mid upper forties j-lo age to mariah mid forties and or janet. That is perfect for me. I been like this though for a long time(born mid 85s) i will marry older woman,we both get old together living good, that is what i know i will not settle for nothing less. Just more exciting and i love dating my drama with older(and you 8767 re right Morgan but yea it has to be you 8767 re right the right one.)Many i didn 8767 t connect wit 8767 so you 8767 re right.)But when it is right i know it.
The more mature women may be interested in dating a guy out of sheer curiosity of what it feels like dating someone and also because usually guys are more 8775 agile, 8776 active, energetic. Being around a guy makes a woman feel as well. No woman is attracted to a guy who is a couch potato or who is unable to climb a set of stairs without being out of breath, especially if the woman herself is very active. guys have a stronger sex drive and are naturally hungrier for a woman 8767 s body. Few things are more flattering to an older woman than being with a guy who craves her body and who is more eager to be close to her physically than any older guy would.
Apologies for length of this, don&rsquo t exactly want to bore people with my troubles/life story. Hope it doesn&rsquo t sound overly dramatic either, but sufficed to say, this really does feels like an extremely important crossroad, and ideally I would love to be with her, and to try and be the best I could be with her, for her. I don&rsquo t give a damn about the age difference, I really don&rsquo t, not after spending time with her, I wouldn&rsquo t give a damn who knew.
I have been on and off with this women i met at my job (shes 86 and im 78). Anyhow we have decided to work things out and it is AMAZING. The sex is outta control and i feel so connected to her.. My point is that age really is just a number and dont let other people tell you what to do in the end its your life and you have to live with your choices. So dont let her or him get away just cause there older or its how you feel inside that matters!
Hey Charlotte, The Blythe Danner movie really is wonderful. It 8767 s quiet but wonderful. I like that you 8767 ve had frivolous fun with the guy. I remember when I was first married and working at the Recreation Dept., one of my volunteers was 68 and he invited me to watch his rugby game. He was definitely flirting with me the whole time and I thought it was quite cute. I was about 75 so really not that much older than him in hindsight. The fact that I was married though made it scandalous 😉 Thanks for stopping by, Charlotte! Always nice to hear from you!
I haven 8767 t been divorced or dated a much man, but my view on everything to do with love and marriage is the same love is love. And #lovewins. (in light of the supreme court decision)
They had an episode of Grey 8767 s Anatomy that dealt with this actually! And I 8767 ve only watched the show once lately! One of the doctors 8767 75 year old mother had a much boyfriend but they were madly in love.
