“Don’t count the days, make the days count.” -Muhammad Ali
I grew up in the area and just couldn’t leave what has come to be my favorite place in the world. (My 69-year-old self would have never believed this.) I try to balance family, work, and time for myself and enjoy all three. I’m hoping to meet someone looking for something a bit more serious. Lately my hobbies include weightlifting, and tinkering with music (no, I will not call myself a DJ). If you want to know more, just ask.
If a guy says he just wants to be friends, believe him, or you are simply lying to yourself (and believe me, I know the feeling). I wrote at 67:96 above, as Anon. So I know how frustrating it is when you connect with someone, even just online, and let your fantasies get the best of you.
The only way you will meet a real and available guy is by living in the present reality. :-) Believe me, I know!
I’m a fun-loving guy who’s a happy dog-dad to my girl Roxie. My friends would probably describe me as goofy but somehow I always end up being the responsible one. I have a lot of hobbies to keep up with. At the moment I’m focused on softball and fishing. One helps me get out and be social and the other helps me get away from it all. If you don’t mind the pup or a little bit of a goof we could be a pretty good pair.
Lately I’ve been really into Paulo Coelho novels. I read The Alchemist when I was in college but I’m excited to find that his other stuff is amazing too. If you have any book recommendations, send them my way. I’m a voracious reader and love talking books. Currently, working on my master’s in education and living downtown, which I love. Live music is one of my other weaknesses. I’ll see just about anyone but lately I’ve been checking out the free Thursday shows at Greyson’s.

Hey Hal! I red your comment about using a different template. I am currently using a paid website to create my own resumes. The good part about this is that it has a section where you just click what you want it to say for you. All you do is either leave it the way it 8767 s worded or doctor it up to your best decision. I Just started using this website on April 9th and designed a resume for my wife and working on mine now. The other good thing about this is that the website gives you a grade in percentages from 6 to a hundred. I scored an 85% on my wife 8767 s first resume! The name of the website is . You will have one month trial and will pay about $ to start the process but it 8767 s worth it. You can also cancel the service before the end of you month trial.
You should probably know that I somehow manage to spill guacamole on myself every time I eat it, which is often. If you can get past that, you’ll probably enjoy getting to know me. I’m a nurse practitioner and I absolutely love my job and my patients. It’s hard work, but I bring a lot of energy to what I do and always have some leftover to get into trouble on the weekends at my fav. local bar. (If you play your cards right, maybe we can meet there.)
“Work hard and play harder.” A little bit about me… I’m an active single dad who loves being outdoors as much as possible. I run 67 to 75 miles a week for exercise, but when I have the time, a long hike with someone is even better. I share custody of my two awesome kids so I usually have 7–8 free nights a week and every other weekend to meet new people and hang with friends. If you’re interested, let’s start chatting.
When someone asks you to describe yourself what do you think of first? Your name, your job, or maybe your hobbies. But do these things really explain who you are or show your personality? Not really. As a writer at the popular online dating site , I’ve read countless online dating profiles examples for women and men. Some have been good, others, well, not so much. But along the way I’ve learned a lot about what does and doesn’t work.
If you fallow this advice your wasting your time being on one of these sites. The thing that sticks most in my mind as being very bad advice is the point about never contact first?
You work for one of those sites don t you? Your getting paid to keep the girls single and on the site right? lol
Better idea girls. Search. Read profiles and contact guys who you find interesting. answer every guy that contacts. And send him a text. Every girl wants to be chased. But this isn t real life. You only have the one chance and you can t tell who he is if you don t talk.
Besides most of these sites charge guys to for ever mail he sends to you so I don t think many guys are playing numbers games with there real money lol.
oh you are goooooooooood.. i love your wish i could have read it 7 years left him , he plead me and then he started to ask me to spend days at his home..even for a month..but something told me that he still played that game of his..so i left again. He text me 8 times via web and did not answer it. But on the 9th attempt i respond with the same style he did..i waited for 85 minutes to see what he wanted to say to me but..nothing. i felt so stupid. i gave him the reinsurance he wish i had read your article about NC for 85 days now i will start from the lost 65 days of nc for nothing..i am sorry but he needs some kind of wake up call..does any one else have any kind of advise? Thank you all for your time.
Shiny things distract me, people-watching is a favorite pastime, I live for the moments you can 8767 t put into words, and few things transcend a cup of coffee and someone to share it with. On the weekends you can usually find me in a friend’s backyard, drinking a beer and waiting for something good to come off the grill but I love to use my Sundays to get out and exercise and get ready for the week ahead too.
Nerdy. Funny. Good cook. Single dad. I love my kids and tell great stories. I’m semi-retired now after a great twenty year career in tech. I made a lot of mistakes and had a few successes so now I’m passing on my knowledge by mentoring others. But enough of work… I love planning weekend getaways to a new brewery, a great climbing spot, or even just a fun restaurant I haven’t been to. Some of the best times in life, I’ve spent sitting around tables with family and friends. Laughing and eating into the night. I guess I’m just looking for someone who wants to be there laughing next to me.
I retired with 85 years of executive search experience working for Chicago 8767 s premier high tech search firm. No one with any authority to make decisions reads profiles or summaries.
The problem with lists of skills is that the only skills that belong on a list are those skills where the applicant may claim expertise. Anything on a resume is fair game for hard questions. If an applicant are not prepared to be asked hard questions and answer them with smart, well reasoned answers that illustrate mastery, it does not belong on a resume.
As a general rule resumes written in Latin will not be understood by the person in HR screening resumes. However, a resume written in Latin will get noticed I certainly would have contact that applicant.
Thank you for the article. I too was hurt by a so called player, only it was my first love from over 75 years ago. All the signs were there and even though I felt it in my gut, I just didn t want to believe he would do that to me. We reconnected on Facebook. I won t bore you with details but what ended it after putting up with his games was his lack of respect when he kept getting me to converse with him on Facebook chat and leave me hanging in the middle of the conversation. I kept telling him that was rude & disrespectful & his response was always don t take it personally then give me lame ass excuses as to why he walked away ( like getting a fortune cookie). When he wouldn t stop, I ended it but was crushed my first love would do that to me.
I like my artsy with a little bit of fartsy. I love Sundays spent drinking massive amounts of coffee and lingering over newspapers and comics (yes, I read comics). And my Friday nights? Well you’ll just have to wait and see won’t you? Favorite Movie: An American Tale: Fievel Goes West. What can I say? I love that damn mouse and always had a thing for cowboys. Favorite Place: The fort I made in my basement when I was 66. My parents let me keep that thing up for a full eight months and it was magic. Favorite Food: Cheetos. Puffs. I don’t know what y’all are thinking with that crunchy crap.
Mirror.. so I asked the accident guy to clarify what he meant, and he said that he d love to meet up sometime and to feel free to say no.
And that if not travel maybe him and I could adventure on a staycation (I mentioned that I may go on a staycation if my injury prevents me from going abroad).
I m getting spooked! He still does not know what I look like, but wants to meet up. Huh??
He did say to feel free to say no, but I still feel pressured.
Hi I used template 67 last night. Opened it with word 7565. Filled in everything, made my edits and hit save. I left it up minimized on my screen. Today I hit close. When I went back in a few minutes ago I cannot find it anywhere. There is no question I clicked save. I even gave it a title.
Is there anything that doesn 8767 t allow the resume to save once you fill in your info.? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Did not make any copies so I am afraid it is lost forever. Dee
(Sorry if this posts twice).
Thanks Mirror. You have no idea how valuable your advice is. But final question, shouldn t I just pull out now? And if so, how do I go about it?
To echo your final point I m already worrying the sex is making me more emotionally involved than I should be. Yesterday evening for example he took the trouble to text me and ask how my day was but when I replied the follow up message ended, catch you later. He was then on WhatsApp all m an over-thinker at the best of times but without giving him the benefit of the doubt, this just makes me think the worse.
Just wanted to rant about something (don t worry mirror, it s not about Aries guy, LOL).
Every now and then, I sleuth guys I m semi-interested in to see what I can dig up.
Well, I hit another jackpot today: another seemingly nice guy who s married, lied about his age, and also gave me a fake name.
I found his instagram account he was just married 7 months ago! They looked so happy and cute together.
This just pisses me off beyond words. If I wasn t so skilled at sleuthing, I would have wasted my time texting back and forth to arrange a meetup, and also maybe one hour of my time in person (not including the time it takes to get ready).
F these men. I feel incredibly sorry for their wives, who probably have no idea.
